Seven days away from
Seven days until I depart
To another land, far from here
To another land, far from her
Over there, I'll learn an abundance
Over there, things I cannot find
Back here, this place, my home
Back here, yet somehow alone
(The above crap was written about nine days ago)
-------------------------------
(As was the below crap)
Stare at the sun with your eyes closed
Face a shining world of golden red and orange
Turn away toward a glowing blue and purple
Ahead you will see the infinite convergence of two worlds
And know that any moment of peace will shortly be interrupted by one of them

You know how it is....
...you come home, you eat dinner, sit down in front of the telly...and watch a documentary about Iraq...then get depressed. One of the most in-depth looks that I've seen into the country, not into the politics, the money or the oil, but the people and the streets.
From the noble suffering women and the lost childhoods of their offspring to the young men grieving the death of loved ones by choosing hatred and violence to the underpaid overqualified doctor working tirelessly to do his job under constant threat of kidnapping and/or death...these people are our people, not their people, not their problem, OUR PEOPLE.
These problems are not the fault of the Americans nor the Iraqi's, we are all pawns in a horrific game of chess, even our leaders are puppets to unknown beings who wield extreme power and a seeming lack of remorse or conscience.
The true enemies of all are fear, ignorance, greed and hatred; demons which are existential to all of us, within us and around us, locked in a global battle of universal proportions, quite simply with the eternally indomitable force of love.
Pointless, fanciful rhetoric? Self-indulgent hippie wank? Maybe, but it's not my place to say, all I can say is that this is a ubiquitous truth known to all, and the one and only unifying concept in the world. Thats because it is more than a concept, it's a boundless energy and amaranthine requisite of humanity which binds all of us to one single spirit.
Peace

The revolution will NOT be televised...
Seriously, you MUST watch this film. Its just brilliant.
I'll say no more, let you're own minds be the judge.
